YPXLR8 is a programme by Yayasan Peneraju that supports Malaysians in pivoting into technology-related roles by first securing employment with participating companies, followed by targeted training to equip them with the necessary skills

Introduction

Objective​

To support talents in pivoting into technology roles by providing relevant work experience and targeted training.

Outcome​

Talents secure employment while gaining specialised training aligned with their job roles.

YPXLR8 Components

Talent Requirements​

Aged 18 and above; Bumiputera; Hiring date between 1st April 2025 to 31st August 2025.

Allowance​

RM1,500 x 8 months = RM12,000.

Training Fee Cap​

RM9,000, only training from Yayasan Peneraju’s Approved Learning & Training Institutions (ALTI) is allowed.

Hosting Companies​

Open to all types of companies; the vacancies must be technology related.

Letter of Employment​

Hosting companies must share the employment letter with Yayasan Peneraju as proof of employment in a technology-related position.

Salary​

Hosting company need to provide salary to Talents. Minimum required salary: RM2,000.

Programme Requirement

Talent

  • Bumiputera.
  • Aged 18 and above.
  • Fulfil the specified hiring requirements set by the Hosting Company.

  • Is hired by the Hosting Company with hiring date between 1st April 2025 to 31st August 2025.

Hosting Company

  • Open to all types of companies, sectors and industries.

  • Registered Business Entity.

  • The company is not subjected to liquidation or winding up order or not dormant.

Job’s Criteria

  • Not an apprenticeship or internship-based roles.
  • A permanent position OR a minimum duration contract of 8 months.

  • Minimum starting salary requirement is RM2,000.00.

  • Roles include, but not limited to:

    • Software Development Roles
    • Data & Analytics Roles Systems & Infrastructure Roles
    • Cybersecurity Roles AI & Machine Learning Roles
    • UX/UI Design Roles
    • Product Management Roles
    • Business Intelligence & Software Support Roles

Training

  • Training is compulsory to be only within digital or technology-based skills relevant to current industry needs.

  • Training must be aligned with the participant’s job role.

  • Only training from Yayasan Peneraju’s Approved Learning & Training Institutions (ALTI) is allowed.
