This AWS-COA: Cloud Operations on AWS course teaches systems operators and anyone performing cloud operations functions how to manage and operate automatable and repeatable deployments of networks and systems on AWS. AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate (SOA-C03)

The AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate credential has been renamed to AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate to reflect the evolving nature of cloud operations and a shift in industry terminology.

This change is intended to enhance the relevancy and credibility of individuals who earn this certification, highlighting their knowledge and skills in deploying, operating, and maintaining workloads on AWS.

A key difference between the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (SOA-C02) and AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate (SOA-C03) is that containers are now in scope for SOA-C03, in addition to more modern services and features, a greater emphasis on multi-account, multi-Region architectures, and more on automation and infrastructure as code.

  • A minimum of one year of hands-on experience with AWS technology

  • Familiarity with using both the AWS Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework as well as AWS networking and security services

Individuals with ~1 year of experience deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS

Candidate role examples: Cloud Operations Specialist, Cloud Support Engineer, Cloud Consultant, Migration Specialist, and Cloud Systems Integration Engineer, CloudOps Engineer
