Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — Trainocate Malaysia, a leading provider of IT and professional development training, has refreshed its Top Cybersecurity Skills for Malaysia’s Digital Future campaign, bringing together multi-vendor training and certification pathways to help professionals build cybersecurity skills based on their experience, roles, and career goals.
The campaign comes as organizations face growing cybersecurity challenges. The Fortinet 2026 Cybersecurity Skills Gap Report found that 86% of organizations experienced one or more cybersecurity breaches in the previous 12 months, while 56% cited a lack of cybersecurity skills and trained IT or security staff as contributing factors to breaches. In Malaysia, 12,643 ransomware cases were recorded in 2024, a 153% year-on-year increase, according to Kaspersky data reported by The Edge Malaysia.
To make cybersecurity skills development easier to navigate, the campaign organizes training and certifications into three levels:
The pathways feature certifications from leading vendors including AWS, Cisco, CompTIA, EC-Council, Fortinet, ISACA, ISC2, Microsoft, PECB, Palo Alto Networks and Rocheston, providing learners with access to training across multiple cybersecurity technologies and disciplines.
The campaign also maps cybersecurity skills to roles including SOC Analyst, Incident Responder, Penetration Tester, Cloud Security Engineer, GRC Officer, Security Architect and CISO.
For organizations, the pathways provide training options to strengthen capabilities across technical security, cloud, governance, risk and compliance functions.
