Overview
In today’s diverse and evolving workplace, four generations—each shaped by different experiences—now work side-by-side. While age diversity can bring tremendous value, it can also create misunderstandings, miscommunication, and conflict.Â
“Leading Across Generations” is a dynamic, research-based workshop designed to break down generational stereotypes and build bridges across age groups. Participants will explore the real drivers behind workplace behaviour and discover practical tools to foster collaboration, trust, and performance—regardless of age.Â
This engaging workshop draws from extensive global research and real-life workplace scenarios to help participants shift from conflict to cooperation and lead with respect and effectiveness in an age-diverse workforce.Â
Skills Covered
- Challenging Stereotypes: Assess how age-based stereotypes may colour their views and encourage others to reject them, treating everyone as an individual.
- Finding Common Ground: Learn to ask respectful questions, listen with an open mind, and connect on the human level shared by all.
- Finding Talents in Everyone: Assume that everyone has value to contribute, ask about their interests, abilities, and experience, and allow for a range of productive work styles.
- Mixing It Up: Partner across generations, find collaborative ways to share perspectives, and respectfully ask for and offer ideas and help.
- Expecting A Lot: Challenge themselves to learn, grow, and perform, hold themselves and others to high standards, and observe how expectations drive effort and results.
