Exam & Certification
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is a globally recognized certification designed to give project management professionals the skills and knowledge they need to successfully lead projects. The CAPM credential is earned by passing the CAPM exam, which is administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
To be eligible for the exam, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must meet either the experience or education requirements. The experience requirement can be met by having at least 1,500 hours of project experience, or by having 23 hours of project management education. Alternatively, candidates can meet the education requirement by completing an accredited project management program. Once certified, CAPMs are required to recertify every five years to maintain their credential.
The CAPM certification is designed to demonstrate a commitment to project management excellence and to provide a solid foundation of knowledge for those who are new to the field. By earning the CAPM credential, professionals can show that they have the skills and experience necessary to lead successful projects. In addition, the credential can help project managers advance their careers and earn higher salaries.
For organizations, hiring CAPMs can help to ensure that projects are well-managed and run smoothly. As a result, the CAPM certification is essential for both individuals and organizations involved in project management.
